About the job

You will be driving development on our core infrastructure, productizing our models, scaling our backend and developing new features from ground up. We do not develop in a Platonic cave, we ship daily and ferociously iterate on our learnings. Whatever you develop will have massive impact for our users.

What you will be doing

• Build out fully fledged, data-intensive backends. Construct cutting edge streaming systems, wrangle large datasets, design ergonomic ETLs.
• Optimize our backend to deliver performant APIs.
• Work closely with the product and tech leadership to refine specs and ensure delivery.
• Mentor less senior engineers, set a high-bar for code quality standards.

What we are looking for

• Mastery in AWS data engineering tooling (e.g. Redshift, Athena, Glue)
• Python and CS fundamentals (e.g. databases, data structures)
• Experience in analytical engineering and dbt, building and maintaining robust models.
• Sound understanding of data engineering landscape / previous work as DE.

Extras

• Previous experience as tech lead, or some equivalent leadership role
• Experience in productizing ML applications
• Advanced DevOps chops
